Ettridge, the son of former Paralympian Len Ettridge, has served a variety of men and women's coaching positions for Australia's national wheelchair basketball programs.
As a player, he competed for the Cockburn Cougars between 1993-94, the Willetton Tigers from 1995-96, two stints with the Mandurah Magic from 1997-99 and 2002-04 and the Perth Redbacks in 2001.
He served as the head coach of the Australian Under 23 men's team before taking over duties in 2007 as head coach of the Rollers, leading them to a gold medal at the Arafura Games to qualify for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
At those Olympics, he helped the Rollers secure their second Paralympic gold medal before coaching them to another gold medal at the IWBF World Championships in 2010. Ettridge repeated that performance in 2014 while at the 2012 Olympics, the Rollers won silver.
