Biography

Born in Alice Springs, McCarron headed to the USA to play college for Metro State.

During his three seasons with the Roadrunners, he led the team to back to back NCAA Division II Final Four appearances, including a runner-up finish in 2013 with averages of 16.3 points and 6.7 rebounds while also being named the 2015 NABC Player of the Year.

Following college, McCarron played one season for Palencia Baloncesto in Spain before returning home to play for the Cairns Taipans in 2016.

Making a name for himself in the league, the guard was then named to the Boomers team for the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup where he was an important part of the team's gold medal win with his explosiveness and hard-nosed defence a highlight of the tournament.
